The Hula Wahines are a Non-profit group of dedicated women that perform authentic Hawaiian dance in the community where every colourful costume is made by the ladies themselves. Under the direction of Liz Pascual, they share their love of hula dance at many Senior Residences and other community venues around the Hamilton Area.
This dance company was the first group to be picked from the Hamilton area to perform at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto back in 1989 and once again in 1990. Became part of the annual variety show of the Hamilton Seniors' Centre from 1990 - 1994 at Westdale & Scott Park High School. In 1995, Golden Age of Variety Show was created and the Hula Wahines became part of a phenomenal Seniors' show that showcased an array of talent from the Hamilton area at the popular Theatre Aquarius till 2009.
